Information on our 2022 season: We're working on getting things organized...

Note: For our 2020 and 2021 seasons that were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have waived the processing fee for refunds and voided the published deadline dates for requesting refunds. Participants were originally given the option of receiving a refund or having their registration transferred for use for our 2021 program --- now it's for 2022!  All 2020 participants were requested to review the information provided on our website page , answer the questions thereon and then submit the form. This IS the process we utilized for everyone, i.e. use the link!

In 2017, in conjunction with the City of Kitchener and a grant from the Kitchener Sports Association, we added two additional play areas (for Junior T-Ball) to the Franklin Park site and one to the Midland Park site. These additions are entirely grass, i.e. no dirt infields, and helped us facilitate scheduling for families with multiple players in our program's various leagues. They also let us focus on keeping our games in the Stanley Park area of Kitchener. For the 2019 season, again with funding from KSA, we added an additional play area at Franklin Park for our Junior T-Ball league. This "new mini-diamond" has yet to be used!

We hope you'll be involved with us in some capacity - player, coach, volunteer, one of your team's safety coordinators, umpire and/or sponsor. All of our leagues are co-ed with basic breakdown for the 2022 season as follows:

Blastball (IF Offered) for those born in 2017, 2018 and early 2019
Junior T-Ball for 2015, 2016 and 2017
Senior T-Ball for the 2013, 2014 and 2015
Junior 3 Pitch for the 2011, 2012 and 2013
Senior 3-Pitch for those born in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011.*

* Players born in 2006 & 2007 who registered for our 2020 season, and remain registered, are also eligible for Senior 3-Pitch in special roles to be determined.

Note: In order to comply with, as of yet, undetermined additional safety measures, the fees noted above may need to be adjusted so we can cover the costs thereof.

(Players registered from the 2020 season with 2006 and 2007 birthdates, who retained their registrations, will be receiving a questionnaire regarding their possible participation roles and can make informed decisions on whether to stay registered at that time. Please bear with us while details on our program for the 2022 season are worked out --- it's a work in progress for sure!

General Information: Between May 7* and June 26, weather permitting, we plan to play as many games as possible at Franklin and Midland Park --- only venturing elsewhere (usually to Smithson School). As in 2019, there is no gala "organization" wrap-up season-ending celebration planned for our 2022 season; each team's final game will be scheduled as per its player availability preferences and players will receive their photos, trophies/medallions, cards, etc., at their team's final game.  Participants may select up to TWO days they cannot play (IF necessary) and we'll do our best to avoid scheduling games on those two days. Game days will vary from week to week among the available slots, i.e. we do not play specific days each week. Each team generally has two games scheduled each week; weekday & Sunday games are 6:30 pm starts, Saturday games start at 9:00 am. (Once we get to the end-of-season playoff games for the Senior T-Ball and 3-Pitch teams, our capability of honouring multiple playing-day restrictions is more constrained but we'll do our best to comply on a "best-fit" scheduling basis. We cannot promise anything beyond that except for Coaches & Assistant Coaches --- of ALL leagues ---who may, if needed, request a 3rd playing day restriction.) Refer to the information on preferences and requests  (It is anticipated that the scheduling will be different for 2022 depending on pandemic induced restrictions. Details TBA.)

Professional photos for our 2022 season will be scheduled to be taken at games during the first two weeks of the season. Individual shots can be submitted, for those who miss their team's photo appointment, during the following week of the season. (More information on the photo offerings)

Our fee includes: T-shirt, baseball cap, photo package including trading cards, trophy/medallion and a web page for each team. It also covers equipment, park rentals, supplies and umpires (Senior T-Ball and both 3-Pitch leagues).  Players have to supply their own baseball glove (gloves aren't needed for Blastball) - we do have loaner gloves for T-Ball and 3-Pitch players who have a need for one. Note that, although batting helmets are available on a shared basis, players may wish to have their own.***For 2022, our loaner helmets may need to be made on an individual basis for the season, i.e. NOT shared at all. All players in our Senior T-Ball and both our Jr. & Sr. 3-Pitch leagues have also been required to wear face protection when playing an infield position --- and will be for 2022 as well. We have supplied equipment for players without their own on an inning-by-inning as-needed basis but, for 2022, this may need to be adjusted to be adjusted to "loans to individuals for the entire game" with appropriate changes to our playing rules. Participation is at player's own risk so parents are advised to carry insurance which covers such participation and ensure their child is dressed appropriately, i.e. suitable shoes, leg covering, etc.  We strongly recommend long pants and no jewellery. Players cannot participate wearing sandals or flip-flops. There will undoubtedly be mandated regulations in place due to the pandemic.

Effective since 2015: Defensive players, when playing infield positions, must wear facial protection. (Each team is being supplied with the necessary safety equipment.) This is mandatory --- including for 2022 --- for Senior T-Ball, Junior 3-Pitch and Senior 3-Pitch but remains optional for our Junior T-Ball league.

We allow players with other commitments to "arrive late" or "leave early" without penalty.  (It's a really good idea to let the coaches know ahead of time about this.)

We expect a parent/guardian to not only attend, but also help at games & practices. Everyone is required to "pitch in" as needed to the extent they can with the coaching, managing = helping in whatever way possible. Following the safety concerns generated by the Covid-19 pandemic, sharing of team snacks and post-game socializing are not likely to be allowed in our 2022 program. Rather than a snack coordinator, as of 2022, each team will be required to have a "Safety Committee" to ensure all safety guidelines and protocols are followed at ALL team events.  There will undoubtedly be mandated sanitization requirements that each team, (and each player, coach, official and spectator) must comply with. Whether or not proof of vaccination is required for attendance/participation has yet to be determined.

 We encourage you to register ASAP once registration opens - especially if you have any special requests. You'll be able to register online anytime (once it's been determined what we can offer)- 24/7 - and sooner is better! A downloadable form will also be available for the 2022 season for submission by mail. Lots more information on the program is on this website. We hope you'll join us and play ball!   Refer to playing day preferences and special requests. 

Refund Policy: IF the 2022 season is approved to start on May 7*, there will be a $15 processing fee on all requests for refunds up to April 25, 2022,  for our 2022 season.  Sorry, but - unless our season gets canceled, we do not issue any refunds for requests received on (or after) April 25. Any refunded amounts have to be processed to the same person and in the same manner as the initial payment was made. The deadline date will be adjusted should the start of the season be delayed by lockdown restrictions due to the pandemic. Note: There will be no refunds to anyone affected by an exclusion from participation for non-compliance with any mandated health/safety regulation.
