Link to: Changes and considerations for our 2022 season
Welcome to our new Stanley Park website! This website gives us the ability to communicate better with everyone in the organization and all our ball teams and participants. We hope you'll be as excited as we are over this undertaking and use it to keep informed about your team and in contact with your team-mates. There's a mobile app as well! Your contributions - photos, articles, news, etc. are all welcome and solicited. Work with your team's representatives: coaches & web-admin volunteers to keep in touch and record some history.
Since the mid-70s, there has been T-Ball in Stanley Park (except during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 and, unfortunately, 2021). Since taking over the responsibility for running it, it's been one of The Optimist Club of Stanley Park's major programs --- and still is! Our Ball Program has branched out to our current offering which includes Blastball, two levels of T-Ball and two levels of 3-Pitch. Each league is based on age with an overlapping year at the upper & lower ends of the age bracket to accommodate players of different skill levels, interest, maturity, etc. All play is co-ed at the recreational level.
Information on each league is available on this website: Blastball Junior T-Ball Senior T-Ball Junior 3-Pitch Senior 3-Pitch
There are also numerous articles and tips for players, parents, coaches and officials.
Are you interested in umpiring? We pay youth to officiate at our games. Visit our Umpires, Scorekeepers & Supervisors for more information and set up an account using the link on that page.
Please browse the site and then, hopefully you're interested in joining us, you can register online! We plan to open registration for our 2022 season for play under safety restrictions when we get permits validated for us to use the diamonds and when conditions are safe to do so. As of January 10, 2022, the requirements for play in spring 2022 have not been determined and will probably change (hopefully for the better!) as the pandemic is still very much in circulation. Our goal is to open registration as soon as we have assurance that we'll be authorized to have permits to play. Hopefully, better late than never --- and no additional restrictions!

In 2019, we had 45 teams involving over 520 players, 130 to 170 coaches (& assistants), numerous additional volunteers and 37 umpires & scorekeepers to keep things organized. We hope you'll want to be involved. The Covid-19 Pandemic forced us to cancel our 2020 and 2021 seasons but we're gearing up to play in spring 2022 and registration is open. If you want to join us and participate in our 2022 program in 2022, we encourage you to complete the registration process as soon as you can. Late fees will apply as of April 7, 2022 and roster spots on teams will then be filled on a first-come first-served basis. Anticipate each team to be required to have two adults dedicated as "Compliance Officers" heading up a committee of volunteers to ensure that all safety mandates and protocols are being adhered to and that play proceeds safely.
(If you stayed registered with us through 2020 and 2021, you received a "survey" via email requesting direction from you regarding how you'd like us to proceed with your payment. You can (i) have it applied to our spring 2022 season or, (ii) have the amount refunded. If you're going to participate in our 2022 program you are requested to update your availability, preferences, requests, volunteer roles, etc. so you can be placed on an appropriate team in 2022.
That's a wind-up until September! Enjoy the break --- maybe include some summer team meetings/practices!
Hello, and welcome to the game! Let's play!
